21st Century Curriculum Developer with a focus on technology and the use of gamification in learning. I have developed two successful on-ramp programs for the Rhode Island Public. Rhode Coders is an "Exploratorium" for anyone, of any age, to learn the basics of web development and coding. We teach HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Many of our students have gone on to higher ed or an immersive bootcamp. Some have gained employment in the computer science field that took their first step with Rhode Coders. Data Navigators is a Data Analytics 15 class primer that introduces teens and adults to the world of Data Science. We include Data Collection and Cleaning, Basic Statistical Methods, Advanced Excel Skills, and the Visualization Tool TABLEAU. Micro-credentialing is being incorporated into the program.
