Artist statement I am a mixed media artist born in Quebec, living in Ontario. I create compositions on stretched or wood canvases. My practice is about creating visual narratives made from what nature or human nature has disposed of. I find peace within myself when I achieve cohesion of colors and textures in a piece. Making something light from unsightly pieces of metal reminds me of the beauty within all of us and of that nature that sometimes eludes us. Démarche Je suis une artiste en techniques mixtes ne au Québec, vivant en Ontario. Je crée des compositions deux ou trois dimensionnelles sur toiles de lin ou de bois. Dans ma pratique je crée des narratifs visuels à partir de ce que la nature ou la nature humaine a délaissé. Je me sens satisfaite lorsqu'une cohésion de textures et de couleurs est réussie dans une œuvre. Réussir à transcender une légèreté à un élément rustre me rappelle la beauté inhérente qui se trouve en chacun de nous et aussi dans cette nature qui parfois nous échappe. Show less
