• Assist OIM with rigging up, rigging down and transporting of drilling rig equipment and preparation of all marine/drilling equipment for towing.. Maintenance of ship records,certification of class,MODU and UWILD requirements.• Maintain daily stability of trim, heel and ballast the unit to keep the rig with the operating ranges of the design LCG and VCG and variable load.• Calculating the Rack Phase Differential(RPD) and leg reactions during jack up and jack down.• Inspect and maintain jacking equipment and monitoring performance during jacking operations.• Inspect preload tanks and perform preload calculations and operations with tow master.• Able to perform Electronic load transfer (ELT) from jacking pinions to fixation chocks and vice versa and also perform fixation engagement and disengagement operation. • Supervise boat and deck operation and liase with the night tool pusher during drilling, casing and other critical operations onboard• Assisted the cementing engineer during the cementing operation to ensure the smooth performance of the cementing unit and have knowledge of the unit.• Assist with emergency and operational drills and ensure all personal and procedures are updated, discussed and understood by all. • Monitoring of all the Marine/Fire/Lifting and marine mechanical equipment on the rig. • Troubleshoot mechanical/Marine problems and make minor repairs to prevent and/or correct these problems along with the chief mechanic.• Supervise the fuel oil bunkering, drill, Potable water and bulk handling operations on board. • Assisting Driller/ Derrick man/Pump man when needed on tour. • Safely lifting personal using air hoist when needed. • Learning, following & promoting workplace safety practices.
