Maia Petrova Davidson
Dominic was my Senior Video Ad Producer and mentor at Sugatan. He helped me analyze my own consumer observations and taught me to utilize them as fodder for powerful conversion-driven principles. He nurtured my work as a video editor and then a producer, and he was able to let me work independently. Dominic always knew when to provide critical feedback to accommodate our clients' expectations, and he knew when to stand his ground to test potential and future viral creatives. I highly recommend Dominic's services for your e-commerce business.

I volunteered to capture video for the Youth Sport and Speed Regional championship at Hoosier Heights. After capturing, compiling, organizing, and uploading the raw footage, I edited a four minute promotional video to best describe the energetic atmosphere of the championship. During the filming, I was on site for a total of fourteen hours over two days, collecting over fifty-five gigabytes of high definition footage and high quality audio. I coordinated with the staff of Hoosier Heights leading up to the championship in order to plan the filming and organize efforts between the staff and myself. During the filming, I scaled a sixty foot climbing wall in order to capture high angle footage, as I was completely dedicated to achieving an intense and captivating narrative. In post production, I utilized Premier Pro and After Effects to construct and deliver the final promotional video.

I worked alongside a professional director and a team of talented students to create a promotional video for the Milk Bank of America's Indiana location. My duties included managing and organizing filming events, as well as editing tasks. I constructed and updated an organizational framework using adobe Illustrator. This included color coding groups and updating tasks in order to keep everyone on the same page. I also promoted communication between the team through Facebook messenger, Google Hangouts, and face to face conversation. I communicated between the groups and helped to address the needs of each member, prompting workload distribution based on individual skills. I also utilized Premiere Pro to act as a secondary editor. The final video was completed and delivered in a timely fashion and was received quite well. Here is the final email from the Lisa Kitchen Butt, the marketing director of the Milk Bank, delivered to the director, Eric Madden. "Eric, I am beyond thrilled with the results of this project. I want to compliment the professionalism, the integrity, and the attention to detail your team gave to this project. They listened to our vision, asked probing questions, worked within their own timeline as well as ours, and demonstrated extreme creativity and insight. If this is their only second class in video production and editing, they all have a wonderful career future. I am extremely proud of Ivy Tech's visual communications students stepping up to this project. I knew they could do it, as I promised The Milk Bank, and THEY DELIVERED.Please know I will send a similar note to the students. Thank you for the files, and for this opportunity.Best,Lisa Kitchen ButtPublic Relations/Marketing Administrator "

I was hired by Allied BDT to create a Data Analytics portfolio for the business. I worked closely with the owner of the business to achieve key design goals. I implemented the use of the Creative cloud suite, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create the final product. Over the course of the months, I would meet with the CEO and create the portfolio piece by piece to ensure that the highly detailed Data Analytics information was accurately implemented. All around media creator. Camera operator, script writer, actor, co-director, audio technician, and music performer. This was an earlier entry into my media career and I learned many valuable lessons about organization, resource distribution, as well as the need for critical planning. At Obscure Moon productions, I participated in the 48 hour film festival. In this festival, you were given a genre to film, and 48 hours to create the final product. We created a film titled, "Alopecia", as we were required to implement a hairbrush into the story line as per the rules of the 48 hour film festival, and believed we could center the majority of the story around that item. I played multiple roles during this event. I helped to write the script in the begging stages of the film making process. I used my skill for creating natural dialogue to enhance the story-line. I would also operate a boom pole and microphone for many of the scenes of the film, ensuring that high quality sound would be captured. I had an acting role in one transition scene that lasted about twenty seconds. During the entire filming process, I helped to plan and set up filming locations. In post production, I used my knowledge of audio software and hardware to create high quality audio for the film. I also created a song for the final credits of the film. Obscure Moon Productions took on the role of filming the 2015 Indy Folk Festival, and I helped to secure important stations in this assignment. I was a videographer, as well as a sound operator. I used my soundboard, and two condenser microphones to capture audio from the main Speakers of the event. I also operated a DSLR film camera on a stabilizer rig to capture various shots of the performers. We interviewed 12 separate bands at the events, with myself being the interviewer in many of these instances. I also helped to implement Obscure Moons logo by taking a scan of the 2D pencil drawn art piece and using that to print business cards.
