  I've been on the apprenticeship programme at Transpennine Express Since September 2017. During this time I have rotated and continue to rotate around different operational functions within the business. I've spent time with the operational resources, safety, train planning, and performance teams. These placements have allowed me to gain valuable experience in different areas of the business gain an understanding of how different departments have different objectives. I have also been able to build and maintain effective professional relationships with colleagues across the teams I have spent time with, which I believe is an imperative skill to be successful in the railways.
