I have had experience at Fine Lady working in the packing department previous to starting my apprenticeship, this involved 12 hour shifts, packing rolls into baskets by hand, adding and removing trays off the line, collecting baskets to put the rolls into. In August 2012 I undertook an engineering apprenticeship offered by the company, a chance I could not turn down. Initially I was sent to Midland Group Training Services in Coventry for one year of off-the-job training to gain skills in engineering. In July 2013 I returned to Fine Lady to commence on-the-job training. In this time I have had experience at Fine Lady of production systems e.g. conveyors, depanners, mixers, packing systems, provers. As well as gaining mechanical experience such as shafts, bearings, chains, sprockets etc. Electrical systems, motors, fault finding, panel fitting etc. Fabricating, designing amongst other things. I have also covered plants. Show less
