I was invited to participate in University Business Challenge. It was not only a great opportunity to meet new people who have the same passion for business, but also an awesome chance to put my marketing skill set to work. In the first stage, where we were competing among other student groups from the UK universities, I took part with 2nd and 3rd year students who were really friendly and welcoming me as 1st year student and I didn't felt as an underrated outsider. As a team we had a great leader and scheduled meeting on a weekly meetings to plan our upcoming game plans have made us to finish stage one in the first place among other groups in our league. Later, as the winners we had to compete among winners from other leagues and the battle for the first place for the second stage took place in Bristol's University. Sadly, some of our team members couldn't come to the "battle". Consequently, we were out numbered and didn't manage to get to the next stage. Although it was not easy to step down after knowing that my team was a winner in the previous stage, it didn't mean that it was not enjoyable journey. I had fun and the whole competition not only sharpen my skills, but also expanded my networking circle and broaden my mind. Show less
