  I have been working in the internationally funded Sivas-Erzincan Development Project (SEDP) as a Project Coordinator. This project is funded by IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development) and OPEC (Total project fund is USD 30 Million) and it is being implemented by Turkish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock (MFAL) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). In the above internationally funded project; I have been coordinating overall investigation, design and implementation of the work, managing all activities related to the project. I have been providing oversight and guidance to the Project Management Unit (PMU) in the Project provinces on all matters pertaining to the smooth operation of the Project, in accordance with procedures and obligations. We, as a team, prepared Grant Manual for rural development investments. I have both technically and administratively coordinated overall works and managed all activities. I have been preparing the Annual Work Plan and Budgets in relation to the Project design and available financing, and overseeing the implementation of the activities as per the approved Annual Work Plan and Budget. I have also been preparing six monthly and yearly Progress Reports, Result and Impact Management Systems and contributing to the preparation of Monitoring and Evaluation Reports for every fiscal year. I ensure implementation of the participatory, iterative, multi-faceted approaches of the Project that are crucial to maintaining its focus on increased income generation and quality of life improvement within the framework of rural development; I represent and promote the Project in national and international arenas as required and maintain close continued collaboration with the World Bank, EU and UNDP on rural development issues relevant to the Project area; Show less

  I investigated soil for drainage and irrigation purposes, determined irrigation water requirements by considering crop-water-soil relationship and climate data for Climate Risk Management, dealt with protection of wetlands and managed flooding risks. I prepared land classification and drainage reports for irrigation and land reclamation work. I conducted field and design works on farm irrigation management systems for operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage infrastructures for irrigation water management aspects. I prepared several Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports for all development projects, and represented Regional Directorate of DSI in Aydın-Mugla-Denizli provinces in all meetings to stakeholders, including governmental and non-governmental organizations, local authorities and private sectors, regarding environmental issues. I completed preparing Ikizdere Dam and Irrigation Project (built for drinking and irrigation water purposes, located in Aydın/the western part of Turkey,) Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIA) together with FAO, USA Bureau of Reclamation and DSI experts. I was regional coordinator of the project. I participated in the preparation of Aegean Rivers Integrated Water Resources Use Planning and Management, Integrated Development and Pollution Control prepared by French experts, during the period from 1998 to 1999 and made remarkable contribution to this project. I Worked as a technical coordinator on “Integrated Water Management in Buyuk Menders River Basin (A pilot Project for Implementation of EU Framework Directive in Turkey)”, Prepared with the Dutch (Grontmij company) and Turkish experts, preparation period of this project was from 2000 to 2004. I was a technical secretary of Aydın Governor for internationally funded projects.
