Responsibilities included the day to day workings of the entire development team, leading daily scrums, ensuring code quality and providing daily and weekly progress updates to management. At the start and the end of each sprint, leading the Sprint Burndown/ Retrospective meetings and ensuing that all developers were happy with the next sprint in the planning meeting. Majority of development was carried on the company's main brand, www.lcn.com. Successfully introduced coding standards including use of git, rspec, cucumber and keeping the business up to date with on going projects by conducting many on going demos. Enforced deployment practices to ensure that all automated test pass and all departments were notified before product releases. Constant contact was maintained with staff using the software to ensure future enhancements to the software were in line with user requirements. Daily responsibilities revolved around staff training, specification writing, project research, project initial development, bug fixing, and infrastructure maintenance. Weekly and monthly reports were generated and presented to management detailing the progress of current projects and schedules for the upcoming period.

This role consisted of manning an email-based helpdesk ticketing system as well as providing telephone support to high value customers. Day to day management of CentOS (Linux) based cPanel boxes and Windows Server 2000. Also experience setting up and maintating complex hosting solutions based around firewalls, load balancers, CISCO switches and a varity of Linux and Windows servers and hardware management. Worked full time in the London offices during the holidays, and undertook part-time shift work from home while studying at University (including overnight support one night per week).
