  The time spent at Schroders was a challenging and fascinating introduction to the financial industry. I was given an overview of the way the business works through meeting people in different departments, fund managers, sales and marketing, legal and wealth management. This largely involved looking at fluctuating oil prices and their macroeconomic impact. • I was given high and low risk prototype portfolios to work on through bottom-up stock selection.
