  I moved back home to Illinois from Florida to start my own business: The Player's Edge. It was an indoor baseball & softball training facility where I worked with athletes of all ages to enhance their baseball skills as well as use the game as a vehicle to teach life disciplines and build strong character into today's youth. We offered individual & group lessons, team rentals, camps/clinics, etc. Many of our students went on to play college baseball! This was my first true experience of being an entreprenuer and absolutely loved it. The ability to pass along the knowledge I gained while playing college & professional baseball was amazing, but even more than that, it was the relationships built with the young men & women who came through our facility that always left more self-confident that truly made it rewarding.   Played professional baseball for the Anaheim Angels as a professional baseball pitcher until re-injuring my pitching elbow. I played 4 years of college baseball at the University of North Florida and injured my elbow pitching in a game during my Junior year. After having surgery, I was able to pitch 2 complete seasons until re-inuring it and retiring early from professional baseball.
