These experiments predominantly are spectral flow cytometry, tissue processing of samples collected, PCR and gel electrophoresis, immunohistochemistry stains, and Opal stains. Microscopy to image H+E slides and stained slides. Help to optimize protocols used within the lab Analyze different types of data using R and ImageJ/QuPath. Use Prism and excel to generate plots to display analyzed data. Different types of data analyzed include flow data, image data, and IVIS data Perform most mice work for the different animal experiments. This includes monitoring the mice for health and tumor development, treating sick mice where appropriate, drug treatment injections, survival tumor resections, stereotactic tumor injections and transplantations, collecting the appropriate tissues once mice have reached the endpoint determined by the protocol, assisting in PET/CT imaging and RT treatment, and IVIS imaging. Maintain detailed records of wet lab experiments and mice data collected throughout experiments such as tumor growth, surgery dates, and collected samples. Work with the lab manager to ensure that the lab is sufficiently stocked for upcoming experiments. Place orders of needed reagents and send out samples for different external services (such as using Core labs).
