Used Layer 2 (2690) and Layer 3 (3560-24PS) Cisco switches for communication and used IPv4 for configuring the interface. • Configured the Cisco router (2911 - ISR) as an acting firewall between intranet and external network. Apart from this, I configured a Demilitarised Zone for an extra layer of security. • Implemented spanning tree topology to reduce the looping problem in switches and ethernet channels to increase speed of data transfer.
