As one of 25 LEDE Fellows worldwide, I organised SoJourn, a 10-day long write-a-thon in April 2021 with the goal of introducing university students globally to solutions journalism. As part of this initiative, I formed a managerial committee and presided over agenda-driven meetings and as a team, we successfully pitched to and formed partnerships with 6 university journalism societies across London - onboarded 6 professional journalists as mentors and conducted a training session with them - trained 40 university students from around the world using solutions journalism's rigorous framework - organised a networking session, panel discussion and peer review sessions - produced 11 solutions journalism articles, which have been published in student media outlets, with many featuring alongside Pultitzer Prize winning articles on the Solutions Story Tracker Show less

The programme introduced asset classes including economic indicators, currencies, fixed income and equity, while also providing detailed insights into how the iconic Bloomberg Terminal works. - Completed the Bloomberg Market Concepts course, which consists of modules about the above asset classes. - Networked with a variety of Bloomberg professionals across departments and levels. The Development Engagement Lab (DEL), funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, examines public attitudes and behaviours towards development, poverty and other pressing global challenges. During my time at DEL, - I worked with large datasets containing public opinion data and used R to conduct statistical analysis on research questions for DEL's clients. I developed my regression analysis skills and learnt how to create multinomial logistic regression models. - I produced a number of data visualisations and became more familiar with R's ggplot2 package and Flourish. My time at DEL has taught me how to identify the most valuable insights and to present them in a way that is useful for clients.
