I've worked with Dana for over a year now and she never ceases to amaze me. Hand on heart Dana is a fantastic ED&I trainer. She knows her subject and has years of experience behind her. She always presents with passion, energy and warmth. She is non-judgemental of people who don't get it and happy to debate the subject in an inclusive way.

Wow oh wow oh wow!!! We had Dana today talking with our foundation year students at Bournemouth University about diversity and inclusion in the workplace. It was phenomenal, insightful and super engaging. Dana’s passion and positivity are infectious. We’ve all learned so much. Thank you Dana you are a superstar and a true positive energizer.

Specifically: ★ Shaping, drafting and reviewing Diversity & Inclusion policies and strategies and helping teams to build their strongest strategies and policies. ★ Reviewing existing processes and ways of working to ensure both adherence to the law and to eliminate sources of discrimination. ★ Designing and delivering key learning interventions on subjects ranging from a basic understanding of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging to Anti-Racism to Microaggressions, Unconscious Bias and Intersectionality. ★ Providing expertise, steering and leadership on issues from recruitment to building inclusive learning and services. ★ Designing and administering inclusion surveys and reporting on results to Senior Leadership alongside action plans to tackle identified issues. ★ Setting up employee groups and advising on their creation and charter. ★ Compiling, reviewing and interpreting D&I metrics and data and presenting the data internally and externally. Recommending actions based on the data. ★ Coaching Senior Leadership Teams and and Managers on diversity issues. The Kubrick Group are experts in unleashing the potential in humans and technology. At Kubrick we believe that the greatest data and technology challenges of today can't be solved with carbon copy consultants or homogeneous thought. So we hire graduates and junior professionals from a wide range of backgrounds who are new to the world of data and technology and pay them while they train in the latest tools and technologies relevant to their chosen practice area before matching them with a suitable client. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Head of DEI at Kubrick is responsible for leading Kubrick’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda, helping the business towards its ambition to improve diversity in data and next-technology jobs, while being a place valuing diversity of thought, where everyone feels comfortable being themselves. Working across our UK and US operations with senior leaders, HR and recruitment teams, communications and marketing, and diversity champions across the business, the role helps the Kubrick leadership define key DEI priorities and strategy, and takes the lead in their implementation, across the full employee lifecycle, from candidate attraction, recruitment, to working environment and culture. Intuit Inc. is a business and financial software company that develops and sells financial and accounting software and related services. It's a brand known throughout the world, because of its prosperous US based parent company, but when I joined in 2013, the UK office was similar to a start up as QuickBooks cloud accounting solution was being tailored for release in the UK market and the company was only just starting to build its presence in the market. For context, the UK office trebled in size while I worked there. In those early days while everyone had defined roles, roles often spanned multiple competencies and there was an expectation for everyone to get stuck in as needed. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Recruited to Intuit in 2013, I was selected as National People Manager which involved wearing two hats, developing and leading the Learning & Development strategy and looking at Diversity & Inclusion for a company that was rapidly expanding. Areas of Focus included: Compiling Diversity & Inclusion Metrics, Sitting on the Diversity Steering Committee, Vendor Selection & Management, Team Leadership & Coaching alongside some Learning Design & Delivery. Key Achievements: ★ Built the UK firm's first Diversity & Inclusion strategy ⇨ delivering against that strategy by teaching and promoting our approach to Diversity & Inclusion company-wide and setting up network groups. ★ Compiled and refreshed the firm's Diversity & Inclusion metrics ⇨ sharing findings with the Senior Leadership Team and shaping how the firm advertised for talent alongside recruitment and selection to build a diverse team. ★ Outlined learning paths for all staff ⇨ and making sure that teams had access to learning where required by sourcing vendors, advertising and managing training or by facilitating the training myself. ★ Managed, onboarded and coached a People Team as the company grew ⇨ enabling more work to be done, in both Learning & Development and Diversity & Inclusion. “Deloitte” is the brand under which tens of thousands of dedicated professionals in independent firms throughout the world collaborate to provide audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk management, tax, and related services to select clients. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Joining the team of top talent at Deloitte UK, I performed in a cross-functional capacity in both internal and client-facing roles. I initially started as a client-facing consultant in the Technology Team where I worked across a range of large-scale IT transformational change projects. After my promotion to Senior Consultant, I was hand-picked for a year-long secondment to the Learning & Development Team where I built technical learning for my team and also worked on the firm's first Diversity & Inclusion learning suite. As a Manager, I worked both in a client-facing capacity and in Learning & Development. My return to client-facing work after my secondment was essential for me to keep my fingers on the pulse of emerging trends and practices so I could share my experiences with others as part of my continued work in Learning. Key Achievements: ★ Design, Development & Delivery of Technical Training for my Team ⇨ including Agile Methodologies, Software Testing and Technical Report Writing and the technical induction for all graduates joining the Technology Team. ★ Design, Development & Delivery of Diversity & Inclusion Training ⇨ part of the team responsible for the the rollout of the firm's first Diversity & Inclusion training path across grades at the firm. ★ Head of the Secondary School Mentoring Scheme ⇨ aimed at increasing diversity in the firm by introducing students from underprivileged backgrounds to the work of the firm and sharpening their business skills. ★ Instrumental in the set-up and running of employee affinity groups at the firm ⇨ specifically the BAME network and Women in Technology.
