I created SearchSpring’s three pillared product strategy that focuses on Search, Merchandising and Insights. Designed to work synergistically, our three-pronged approach helped our merchants intuitively tune search results towards profitable merchandising strategies, automate product placements on category pages and gain new insights into product engagement and purchasing behavior. Ultimately, we were able to position SearchSpring as leader in merchandising, helping to increase adoption by a host of new, fast-growing ecommerce brands including Moen, Volcom, Kate Somerville & Fabletics. After a great run at SearchSpring, we were fortunate to sell the company to Scaleworks in 2019 and I am now exploring new opportunities.

Denver, CO Based on my previous experience building product search engines, I single-handedly built the initial (rough) product in ~45 days which we launched to a paying customer on day one. As revenue grew, I started building out a tech team to handle support, implementations and product development. To this day, our “bend-over-backwards” customer service culture helped us retain and grow our relationships with many of our customers. As revenue grew, I started building out a tech team to handle support, implementations and product development. To this day, our “bend-over-backwards” customer service culture helped us retain and grow our relationships with many of our customers. From product search, I expanded SearchSpring into Product Recommendations - the first site search company to launch a Recommendations offering (around 2009) which our competitors quickly followed.

I spent my early professional career working with emerging ecommerce companies to build and grow their direct-to-consumer digital channels. It was this work that enabled me to discover the problem spaces that led to the creation of two products: Searchspring and Ordertastic.
