      Salaam Mumbai Foundation has been working on tobacco control and works towards empowering children since 2007 in the 30 districts of Maharashtra.Salaam Mumbai Foundation works with government-run schools, private schools, and other communities in the state of Maharashtra. We presently run the largest preventive program in tobacco control which has already reached almost in 15000 schools and trained 67000 teachers in rural Maharashtra. In order to enhance stakeholders participation, As of now we trained 575 local NGO's, 15000 police functionaries. As part of the programme we have made all Z.P. schools tobacco free from Mhasala Block - Raigad district. Considering the work done by Salaam Mumbai Foundation on tobacco control in the state of Maharashtra, Social justice Ministry of Maharashtra gave Mahatma Gandhi Vyasanmukti Award for the year 2016-17.       Project Coordinator (Dharavi Biennale). Dharavi Biennale (Sneha) is a 2 year project supported by Wellcome trust, where it gives emerging local artists the opportunity to consolidate their conceptual, practical and leadership skills, bring in new participants, engage more deeply with health issues, and emphasize sustainability. Till date we have done 24 workshops (called Artboxes) on various health issues from Tuberclosis, Occupational Hazards, Gender based violence, Sex & Sexuality using different art forms like Comics, Block printing, Applique, Mural painting, Photography with about 300 participants. The overarching theme will be recycling: artworks will use recycled materials and will address the health effects of recycled behaviours. The Dharavi Biennale ( Alley Galli Biennale 2015) art exhibition at the end of 2nd year, was recently held from 15th Feb – 8th March 2015 at 3 different locations at Dharavi and more than 10,000 people attending the exhibition followed by some cultural programmes and plays like Vagina Monologues, Bombay 17 were held at different venues across Dharavi.
