• Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of the group consolidated numbers for management and statutory purposes. Brought forward group month end and CFO reporting by 2 days to 6th working day. • Responsible for the planning and coordination of group wide audits. Initiated move to have revenues centrally audited for all Lebara entities as well as a complete overhaul of the group’s consolidated financial statements to the required IFRS standards. • Delivered unqualified statutory accounts with no material year-end adjustments for all 12 entities a month prior to the set deadlines, an improvement of over eight months to the previous year.• Introduced a group wide standard method and format to compute prepaid mobile revenues. This reduced errors and simplified monthly reviews and year end audits.• Responsible for the implementation of ERP system- Dynamics AX and delivery of constant improvements for greater efficiency. Project delivered on time with set schedules for further system improvements. • Prepared and successfully introduced a set of group accounting policies and processes aligned to IFRS. Monthly finance reviews with country finance directors introduced which also checked for policy adherence and understanding.• Designed and managed the group accounting structure which included a consolidation accountant, regional controllers, and a shared services team totally 15 staff (6 qualified). • Managed & trained a finance team which grew overtime to 6 staff (2 qualified) which was responsible for all functional accounting, month end and statutory reporting for the UK entity.• Introduced and initiated the use of a standard set of monthly reporting pack across all associated Lebara entities. • Assisted the CEO in negotiating Lebara’s first MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) with KPN (Netherlands) contract to provide international calling via a pre-paid SIM card. This contract currently generates 20% of Lebara group’s total revenues.• Introduced and implemented Sage 1000 which later was upgraded to Sage MMS to handle multi-currency transactions.• Continuously introduced and implemented process efficiency to improve team performance. Most important efficiencies were realised when automated calling card activation was implemented, improving reporting accuracy and support to sales team.• Experienced and was involved in various VAT audits due to a VAT claimable position.• Sourced auditors and delivered three unqualified sets of statutory accounts.
