I've had the pleasure to work with Dipen during my university degree. Dipen is an individual with a multitude of technical and interpersonal skills, always with an innovative approach to addressing complex challenges. • Worked for TWI (The Welding Institute), a partner company of Brunel Innovation Centre, where my responsibility was to lead the manufacturing of ‘Creep Scanner Robot’ • Led the project from concept design to the final product. Furthermore, I was also responsible for programming the robot using C++ after it was manufactured • Created CAD designs and technical drawings in Solidworks for manufacturing and assembly; manufacturing, assembly, cost and customer awareness were learnt and utilised during the initial design stage of the project • Collaborated with external/international project partners; where we deduced the ideal transducer specifications and also effectively designed a user friendly GUI. Design reviews were carried out with project partners over tele-conferences and manufacturing sites were visited personally to negotiate costs and delivery of the products • Successfully negotiated and acquired scanner parts and programming systems (Galil DMC) from suppliers • Successfully completed the project under budget and time limit • Experience gained into engineering practices and business awareness Show less
