Dinuka was one of the recipients of the 2010 Asidua scholarship scheme. He was involved in technical delivery project for a UK’s largest telecom provider and various government councils in the United Kingdom. • Design, implementation, development, deployment and support of software systems. • Low level design of software and requirement analysis. • Rules Engine management, development of rules and deployment. Singapore Telecom offer corporate communication solutions. Their product portfolio includes ISP services, IP/VPN, International Connectivity, Web Development and IT Infrastructure Management. Dinuka was initially assigned to review the company server bank which comprises over 200 servers with Windows and Linux operating systems. Thereafter he assisted in LAN and WAN administration. He was involved in projects related to Sri Lanka’s major publishing, manufacturing, retail and construction firms. • Network specifications establishment by conferring with users; analysing workflow, access, information, and security requirements • Router administration design, including interface configuration and routing protocols 3 • Network performance issue evaluation including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency • Planning, selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures and establishing connections & firewalls • Network performance maintenance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning • User preparation by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support He was further involved in IT infrastructure support management to the knowledge based BPO operations.
