At Psaros I entrusted to managing a mixed use development consisting of 6 Town houses, Commercial and multi level Tower Apartments in Mount Hawthorn. This job was definitely a challenge, with the build on the boundary with very complex ground works due to Sewer invert levels to the start of the Town Houses being so low, had to ensure footings did not compromise angle of oppose. The Tower block required Soldier Piling’s which required strict monitoring of the vibration to ensure no structural damage was caused. With no lay down area for materials it was really been challenging. Once out of the ground it became a little easier, but with the Tower crane removed from the contract due to cost savings the calling up mobile cranes required coordination and programming to maintain the tight program and ensure all the trades had no disruptions in their works. With the job complete I presently positioned at the EDGE Apartments on Newcastle Street to work along the Site Manager already there, to assist in building a 11 storey Apartment block consisting of 96 Apartments , Gymnasium, commercial units car stackers and a swimming pool.

At BGC there were areas given for me to manage and supervise, at the beginning I was given the Basement and Roof. The basement being 1500mm below the water table with the ground slab seeping ground water, it was a daunting task to manage, and with the complexity of the roof my skills were tested to the full. I was also handed the task of looking after any concrete works, as there were a lot areas where the design to the floors had changed and required topping from ground to 4th floor. I managed to complete 90% of both the areas in 10 months which was then taken away from me for another supervisor to complete however the basement was returned for me to finish which I have and is now an active car park for the general public. Along with the basement I had been given the Landscape to manage and supervise. This section required good programming, communication, ordering the steel for footing retaining walls, scheduling contractors to carry out the works, as there was no time with the dead line fast approaching and trying to complete the landscape and coordinating with the Facade works with booms and mast climbers the job at hand was a good challenge.

My first project was to manage the construction of an underground car park and sports deck with a pre stressed slab on top at Methodist Ladies College & Middle School in Claremont. The project value was $8million and was completed on time. With the successful and timely completion of the car park & sports deck, I was entrusted to manage Phase 2 at the College. This was the redevelopment of a six storey Class room building. Being on the edge of the Swan River, the project involved detailed excavation at three levels below ground floor level against the steep river bank. All this was to be done without interruption to the day to day running of the College. My team consisted of a Site supervisor, site safety officer and two full time labourers. The value of this project was $17 million + GST. The project was completed Jan 2009 so was within deadline and also within budget. Having completed the above project I was entrusted in completing 22 luxury apartments and eight commercial units in East Perth. This project was built over the Graham Farmer Fwy tunnel and I took over from the first floor slab stage. Completion of the project was June 2009 and once again, within deadline and budget. I was then entrusted in managing 13 luxury town houses including a basement car park in Wembley contract value of $5.5million +GST. The job required pilling to the western boundary line which I set out with the use of a Theodor light. After setting out the piling I went about setting out the remainder of the building perimeter with the aid of the Theodor light. Having completed the construction of in-situ concrete perimeter walls I was moved to another project as I was required to assist another site manager to complete a complicated job. This job consisted of 27 luxury 3 bed apartments with 4 commercial units with basement and ground floor car park and swimming pool contract value of $17 million + GST.
