I have worked for Dimitris from the Advertising Agency side while he was at Atlas Corporation. I have always appreciated that he had a clear strategy in mind and knew exactly what to ask for and how to stir the agency on the right path in developing the communication strategy. That made things not only easier but also more efficient in terms of time and budgets. I have lately encountered Dimitris while at Druckfarben too and I have discovered a new side of him. A quality which is as rare as it is important for a CEO: coagulating around him a team of dedicated, loyal and very competent professionals.I had the opportunity to meet a few of the key people at Druckfarben Romania and I was impressed by their positive energy, their drive to improve things and their loyalty towards Dimitris and the company. I think knowing how to select and empower the right people for the right job is key in driving a company on the path to success and I haven't met many leaders who can do that like he does.

Dimitris is a well-rounded professional who has been a model for me since I started working with him. His sense of balance, drive and long term focus serve as important guidelines. Thus, many times as I consider a course of action, I try to think what he would do in that particular case. His strategic management perspective is one of the most important things that pushes the company forward, as he can easily find synergies across departments. His background helps provide a deep understanding of technical issues, but, although analytical, he never looses sight of the big picture and stays proactive. There are two major benefits coming from this crucial balance. The first is obviously the ability to provide a steady course for the company. The second, but just as important, is the power to give a sense of direction and motivation to everyone else, making the driving force even stronger and inspiring others to strive for their best performance as well. This is why Dimitris is by far the best example I have for proving the benefits of management and leadership successfully exercised together.
