Bauart Architects is a small architectural firm, consisting of 4 to 8 architects depending on the number of projects the office is working on. Despite the office's size, the projects we undertook were extremely versatile, ranging from single family houses to large development schemes, such as the Municipality of Pulaia Marina Master planning, large housing projects, hotel developments and many more. Despite the office's considerable amount of work, it was quite surprising that design workflow followed a 2d philosophy, from sketching to Cad drawings to production drawings. My involvement with the firm started as junior architect, but through my deep understanding of 3d modeling programs, such as Sketchup, I soon became team leader after my first year on the firm. Designing in a three dimensional environment helped me not only in advancing through the firm faster but also to become a better architect. Having worked for Bauart Architects for 4 years, working at first and overseeing later at more than 90 projects, gave me the necessary experience and deep knowledge of what it takes to become a project leader, an experience that helped me to grow as an architect and create my own firm. Working for ErgoDesign was my first professional placement in my field of studies. My main responsibilities were the preparation of planning drawings, attending meetings at the planning office, preparing initial design ideas on new projects and learning the code of practice for architects in Greece. Furthermore, there was the opportunity to get involved in designing on three dimensional environment, something I had invested heavily during my studies. Working for ErgoDesign was my first professional placement in my field of studies.
