INPEX’s Ichthys LNG Project incorporates the Explorer Central Processing Facility (CPF), the Venturer FPSO, an onshore LNG processing facility near Darwin, and an 890km subsea pipeline linking both areas. The CPF is a column-stabilised, offshore semi-sub production unit supporting hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities. Clough/e2o were awarded a hook-up and commissioning (HUC) contract for the CPF. Employed as an Offshore EEHA Inspector, core role deliverables included (but were not limited to): ► Auditing and rectification of Ex d, Ex e, Ex i, Ex m and Ex p Rated Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA), including re-glanding, re-terminations and changing over equipment such as E-stops, as well as creating NCR’s to address any deviations or quality issues, and worked with engineering on Hazardous Area Classifications (HAC’s) ► Identified critical tasks, planned accordingly, tackled prioritized items first, ascertained technical issues via fault-finding and diagnostics, rectified those within my sphere of my competency and escalated those outside (and same for all roles below) ► Ensured compliance with risk assessments and work instructions (e.g. JSA’s, JHA’s, SWMS’s, SWI’s), and complied with all safe work systems to ensure Zero Harm for people, the equipment and the environment (and same for all roles below) ► Developed positive relationships with supervisors, peers and other trade groups to enhance workplace collaboration, knowledge sharing and overall productivity (and same for all roles below) ► Reading and interpreting equipment specifications and AS/NZS 60079 Standards to ensure site activities were executed to required specifications with correct materials. Chevron’s Gorgon LNG Project included construction of a 15.6 MTPA LNG plant and a 300 terajoules/day domestic gas plant. CKJV was awarded a contract to supply SMP, E&I and commissioning services for the construction of 3 LNG trains, as well as associated utilities and the domestic gas processing and compression plant. Working on construction of LNG Trains 1, 2 and 3, as well as the fit out of GE turbine and compressor packages (including Frame 7 mixed refrigerant and propane refrigerant packages), associated core role deliverables included (but were not limited to): ► Installation, modification, commissioning and function testing Hazardous Area Rated (Ex) gantry cranes, glanding and termination of SWA and braided cables (using double compression and resin glands), fitting out electrical switchrooms, substations and FERs, and providing night shift handover reports to ensure effective 24-hour coverage ► Preparing work packs, redlining drawings, sub system handovers, walk downs and punch listing to achieve RFC (Ready for Commissioning), as well as direct involvement with CSU (Commissioning and Start Up) to achieve smooth SIMOPS, and working collaboratively with system owners for RFSU (Ready for Start Up) handover ► Developed and worked under construction, commissioning and operations permits for standard and high-risk works including working at heights, confined space entry and HV isolations, and prepared JHA’s and standard work procedures ► Provided E&I installation support for the GE (Nuovo Pignone) and Mitsubishi Compressor DGS (dry gas seal - including gap setting), and calibrated Bently Nevada probes.
