      • Aug 2021 - Present

Working in a multidisciplinary team to solve challenges at the forefront of innovation to provide breakthrough innovation for a wide variety of global partners. The rapid innovation environment in Innovia has seen me working on medical devices, consumer products, novel high performance materials, recyclable packaging and oils. These highly impactful projects have included clients like Procter & Gamble, Shell and Johnson & Johnson. As an innovation consultant my typical work includes industry and academic research, brainstorming, idea evaluation from first principles, 3D modelling in SolidWorks CAD and building prototypes, performing experiments, writing deliverables and presenting to clients, and participating in sales conversations. I am also helping coordinate the engineering team utilisation on projects and in sales discussions, and also leading bi-yearly meetings to set development goals for the engineering team. As a technical manager I was overseeing the design and build process of our electrical racing vehicle for the Formula Student competition. This included managing the team timeline, preparing detailed documentation on the car's construction and turning it into reports for the competition, and advising the sub-teams with their organisational and technical tasks. As part of my masters project I laid the foundations for the team's custom 3-phase motor controllers. The main parts I designed were: - the groundwork microcontroller C code to collect information of all sensors, communicate with the rest of the car via CAN, output PWM signals to the power electronics stages and ensure the time and safety critical processes are executed without any delays. - the low voltage control electronics and PCB. - the high voltage decoupling capacitors simulation and PCB. - the overall mechanical design and packaging of the controller including a liquid cooling plate for the power electronics and its simulation and manufacturing.
