There are various kinds of servers, storage's, OS's, and DB in my company, we using IBM(AIX), SUN(Solaris), HP(HP-UX and Windows server), and etc. My daily job is develop, administrate, monitor and troubleshoot database server, also cooperate with application developers to meet their needs related to database (Oracle). Also, I have to manage netbackup policy, schedule, and backup script (using Symantec netbackup 7.5).My other responsible to make sure that data center environment is working well and secure, such as, electrical system including electrical structure and UPS, security (finger print and CCTV), room temperature and humidity control, fire suppression (FM200).During my work as DBA and server administrator, I already did doing some project:1. Global Manufacturing Execution System Setup.We implement High Availability (HA) server environment for production system, redundant system not only for database server but also on application server.2. Cost Innovation by Server Integration.With limited budget, we improve our server performance, We decide to maximize our current architecture.. Migrate our database and system to reduce hardware error risk. This effected to our yearly expense, we reduce 40% maintenance server contract fee. 3. Data Center Improvement.We do examination to all data center supporting devices, building materials, electrical and so forth. Some improvement we have done, enlarging the UPS, power supply redundancy, re-layout electrical, building repair, access enhanced security by CCTV and finger print, reduce the risk of fire by installing a fire suppression (FM200).4. RnD Engineering Change Notification.To improve coordination between Material Team and Suppliers if there is component change in some or one product. When I am joining LG, my main role is system analyst and developer of HRMS (Human Resources Management System) using Power Builder and Oracle 8. This system is containing Recruitment system, General Information, Absent, Payroll, Loan, and Performance Management. In two years so many improvement we make, 1. Zero Risk Payroll Process Project.To minimize human error on payroll process, we reduce manual input, changes process checking by using approval line, payroll closing, and make payroll details report on system. I develop this system using Power Builder.2. SOD system (segregation of duty).This system avoids the requestor approve the request made by himself in the HR system. Example, a manager creates annualeaves permission on HR system, if SOD is not set, then he can not approve his request by himself.3. LGEINPortal (employee web portal).LGEINPortal is is a web portal used by employees to take care of all their needs related to HR. It is about their absent, leave, permit, payroll, allowances, loans, etc. We built this portal using ASP.NET C# and Oracle.4. Interfacing Local Database and Global Database (ERP).Our global HR ERP system is not supported Indonesian HR policy, each country have own regulation, from absence, payroll, tax, etc. But still the headquarter need HR local data. We create interface table and store procedure on our Oracle database to transact our HR data.5. Centralized finger print absent in factory and all of LG branches.Avoid absent access cheating and to make easy HR admin manage employee absent, we setup integrated absent system in factory and all branches.
