a. Interactive Lapbook - Incorporates the components of the Language Arts in developing language & literacy acquisition in young children- Based on a children’s storybook “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” by Dr. Seuss- Consists of four activities such as rhyming words, forming sentence structures, spelling words and identifying emotions. b. Creating a Math Resource Kit- Incorporating math concepts and ways to nurture children’s mathematical thinking- The kit was based on the storybook, “Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes” by Kimberly and James Dean- Subitization, counting on and addition- Recyclable materials were used such as twigs and cardboards- A group of 5-year-old children from Orion Preschool at Paya Lebar were able to play and learn with it!c. Creating a Learning Corner - Language & Literacy- Designed for a group for children aged 5 years old- Applied the principles of effective classroom environment- Resources and furniture were made from recyclable or reusable materials such as cardboards, ice cream sticks, sand, felt and paper bags

Reader's Theatre Script & Performance

Our readers’ theatre performance was showcased for children aged 4-5 years old where our theme was, ‘Being kind to others rather than doing bad things to hurt others’. We decided on a storybook “Good Little Wolf “ by Nadia Shireen where we have the characters such as Rolf, the pig, the big bad wolf and grandmother. We learnt to write the dialogues, stage directions and set up of the props/environment in the script. Most of our props were made from recyclables or affordable materials such as the house and the ears of the animals were made from used cardboards!

In my second year, my past leadership experiences inspired me to lead a group of freshmen into the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HMS). The compulsory programme allows freshmen to learn about their seniors, peers, lecturers and culture. Being a leader requires us to learn to give constructive feedbacks on the programmes planned by our committee members to provide an enhanced experience for others. We had to get creative and hands on with creating our tribe flag, cheers and dance.I had the opportunity to become a station master for a game activity. I was also responsible of updating my team members and keeping track of the allocated timings for each group's participation in the activity.

Open House Arts Tour

Being a member of the CCA Champions club, I signed up to become a student tour guide for Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Annual Open House 2017. I chose to join the Arts Tour segment as I was a member of the Dancesports co-curricular activity with past performing arts experiences. For the tours, I brought visitors around the campus to showcase our school’s art facilities and exclusive performances.Before the actual event, I went through a training where I was given time to familiarize the script and route plans given. A schedule of the performances was also essential for us to inform the visitors of performances that they would like to see. I was able to acquire the ability to communicate effectively with others while speaking in a concise manner with clarity so that others would be able to comprehend.

In my final year, I worked with Caterpillar's Cove in implementing a capstone project known as 'Project Sustainability'. It was developed to redirect children’s learning to the basis of their foundational knowledge, also known as the stage of “Awareness” leading up to “Application”. In order for children to be truly convicted of making sustainable changes, they must first understand the importance of this topic.The project outline:- A skit on a story about Lily & her mother was showcased- Demonstration on how we can upcycle old clothes into sling pouches- The children ages 5 to 6 years old made their own sling pouches and decorated them
