As a worker at the second largest student recreation center I performed many daily set-ups and breakdowns to ensure all patrons can do the activity of their choice. I created diagrams and to-do lists for many events including a 150-person basketball tournament. In addition, as a front desk staff member, I played a vital role in greeting many of the 10,000 daily visitors enter and complete monetary transactions as necessary. As a summer intern, I had the opportunity to learn the ropes of many roles. While working in the office of this Minor League professional team I expanded my Excel knowledge while analyzing financial data tied to merchandise. I have received extensive training on the ticketing system through the Accesso program. Additionally, I worked on more hands-on activities; such as running a soccer camp, set-up and break-down before games, and tending to the soccer fields. My primary roles at this nonprofit company were marketing and event-based. Over the months I was been tasked with maintaining and updating the yearly event calendar and sending out weekly reminders to our members. I helped plan and execute the 60+ scheduled meetings and events each year. This ranged from charity golf tournaments to membership meetings, to monthly board meetings. I have also expanded my professional knowledge when shadowing at political events with South Carolina government personnel present. Show less

At this local restaurant I created custom salads from an extensive salad bar to meet customer specifications. I was required to commit the preselected menu to memory including over 12 salads with seasonal varieties. When customers had questions I was able to fully explain the health benefits our items had and tasty pairing on the menu. As an associate I frequently had to take phone orders, work the point of sale system, and maintain cleanliness of the store. I also briefly worked as a delivery biker during the busy lunch time rush.
