At 8th Shore I am responsible for keeping the art team flowing smoothly and for integrating the assets into prefabs and code set up by our code team. I am also responsible for all the VFX work we require. I create all of the 2D sprites, sprite animations, in Photoshop as well as models or materials (in a node editor) for the effects. Once I have made the components I create finished effects in unity using its particle system. I also create the geometry for our characters, environments and props in Maya. In addition I create the 2D textures for said models in Substance Painter and Photoshop. With node based editors in unity I create and edit the materials that the geometry will use in engine to render. I also participate in business decisions, game-play discussions, testing and feedback.
