While introducing the Louisiana Health Cooperative to the Vietnamese community, I had the pleasure of first meeting with Diem Nguyen. I've been impressed with her community outreach and leadership skills ever since. As CEO for the NOELA Community Health Center, Diem has led the start-up, launch and business development of this wonderful Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). I appreciate her strong sense of community and her commitment to providing quality healthcare for the individuals and families that she serves. Most recently, I had the pleasure of introducing the free programs provided by the Smoking Cessation Trust to Diem and the NOELA Community Health Center. Without hesitation, she began to explore grass roots opportunities to introduce the program to community members that might benefit. I look forward to any opportunity to meet with and collaborate with Diem Nguyen on future health and wellness initiatives. I also can't wait to enjoy another wonderful bowl of pho.
