Description of Duties and Area of Work: •Planning, Design of Drainage, Sewerage networks and TSE systems. The Storm Water Drainage Systems had the perforated pipes / land drains and the deep Micro Tunnel Concrete Pipes and the associated manholes. The drainage strategy comprised of collections, infiltration, attenuation and conveyance till the designated drainage outfalls. The drainage gullies were top Entry and Side entry gullies at the road sides for catching the runoffs from the plots and the roads. • Design Review of Drainage, Sewerage and TSE networks including pumping stations before submission to client (ASHGHAL). • Comprehensive technical coordination between all design teams located in UK, Middle East and India - for generating the drawings, hydraulic designs and model. • Responsible for client interface, technical presentations at the gateway meetings and taking design approvals. • Checking of utility clashes and the proposed utility corridors. • Developing and updating the full set of drainage standard drawings for the Local Roads and Drainage Program for Doha West. Attending and conducting workshops and seminars with PMC and client for developing the typical standards for the standard manholes, special vortex manholes, energy dissipaters and other ancillaries and appurtenances for the drainage network. • Technical Coordination and developing the design and drawings for the flow control chambers and the Vortex Drop Shafts. Developing the design and drawings for the various Energy Dissipaters within the drainage manholes. • Preparation of Tender drawings and documents. • Preparation of design reports and design outputs. • Involved in preparation of BOQs for the Sewerage and Drainage Schemes. • Preparation of Tender specifications for the civil works for Sewerage, Drainage, TSE systems, Vortex velocity control drop shaft units, energy dissipater units. • Technical coordination between Roads and utilities for infrastructure projects. Project Name: Relocation and Design of Sewage Treatment Plant Outfall pipeline to the sea Exact Duties rendered: Responsible for Hydraulic design of 1400 mm dia HDPE onshore pipe outfall to sea. The onshore part of the pipeline was 8 km long. Pressure tight sealed manholes were proposed along the pipeline. Air valves / vent stacks were proposed along the pipeline for ventillation purposes. The design had taken into consideration all the recorded tidal effects of the sea. Done Detailed design and drawing preparation of the complete onshore pipeline system. Involved in site survey and route finalisation of the pipeline system. Involved in checking and finalization of utility corridors. Detection, checking and clearance of utility clashes. Involved in client interaction / meetings, and technical progress review meetings at various stages. Involved in coordination between the onshore design and the offshore pipeline design. The offshore pipeline had special diffusers in the sea. The offshore pipe line was designed 2 km inside the sea buried in the sea bed. Project Name: Blue City Project Exact Duties rendered: Coordination of Infrastructural design of various utilities like Storm water, Sewer, Irrigation, Potable Water, Power, Telecom with Fibre Optic cables, Roads design. Done Detailed design and drawing preparation of Irrigation network and Drainage Network. Involved in checking and finalization of utility corridors. Detection, checking and clearance of utility clashes. Total Project has 12 phases. Design was for Phase I which is = 300 Ha. Total length of road = 10 km within phase I.
