Jenn Bressert
I have been in education, as a mathematics instructor working at the district, regional, and state levels, which means I have experienced many different leadership styles and focuses for almost 20 years. Diane Fox came to a building and staff, in South Kitsap High School, in need of someone with a strong vision and purpose. Diane came to a staff that has a history of being hard to work with. Diane came to a building where kids needed both a champion and an enforcer. I have worked under 4 different Principals in my career and I can honestly say that working with Diane Fox has been the most rewarding and most challenging, in a good way, I have experienced. She has a clear, defined vision for how a school should support and challenge both staff and students. In my role as the Mathematics Department Head, Diane and I have found a partner in service of student learning. She and I have a similar way of approaching learning needs of students and staff; we believe in being life long learners, we also believe that hard work is necessary and we will do what it takes. Diane is both a learner and a leader. She does not have a math background but her leadership and knowledge of teaching best practices make her a valuable learning partner and supervisor. Diane is a self professed "geek" of CEL 5D and TPEP (the Washington State teacher evaluation system) which only strengthens her focus on best practices and helping teachers push themselves and their students. I would recommend Diane Fox to anywhere looking for a solid, focused, and driven educational leader. I feel priviledged to work for her and be a partner in learning with her.

Diane Fox is a name that carries weight in my community. The name is synonymous with never-ending commitment, fiery compassion and a genuine love of the field of work that she knows so well. Throughout my years of partnership and mentorship with Diane, I simply cannot quantify the support and growth that she facilitated throughout my professional and personal years in the Tahoma School District. While one might think that her recent transition away from Tahoma would fill me with sadness, I profess it does nothing of the sort. I am extraordinarily excited for the change that Diane is bringing to Orting and what she will continue to bring for the rest of her life. I can deliver nothing but the highest recommendation for Diane in any context, for she is one of the only professionals that I have ever worked with that I would without hesitation put my full name and reputation behind and be confidant that she will deliver the best quality work you have ever seen. My future would not be as bright without the care and support that was shown to me by Diane Fox. And the truth of the statement is I am far from being the only person who can deliver that sentiment.
