I've had the pleasure of being her Engineering Manager and of working with her for the past seven months. She is a skilled Ruby on Rails engineer and the years of experience she has behind her were a valuable asset to our team. From day one, she impressed us by being a hard worker and a fast learner. Her work ethic is outstanding! While her core competence is Ruby on Rails, at [e-spres-oh], she started to expand her area of expertise by learning React and Typescript. In the past, I worked with Diana on a pretty complex product in the fintech domain. We had quite a large liberty in selecting the tech stack and approaches we employed to correctly implement the business requirements coming from our client. Starting all the way from her interview when joining our team until the day she went to pursue other challenges, I kept seeing in her a very curious engineer who had a good eye for spotting problems and never shied away from asking difficult or important questions. She quickly gained the team's trust and ended up as one of our top engineers. I still remember when we trusted her with leading an initiative for optimzing the schema we were using for Redis in our main API. For anyone working with schema changes on APIs running agains strict SLAs 24/7, it should come as no surprise that this was quite critical. Obviously, Diana managed to develop, plan and deploy the entire thing without a single hiccup. Looking into the future, I would have no hesitation in working again with Diana. Alas, if this was not an option, I would also highly recommend her for any engineering position.
