Currently, I am the senior NATO International Civilian (NIC) at Joint Force Command Naples (JFC Naples) with almost 40 years of service. I serve as the JFC Naples Community Relations Director and the Internal Communication Advisor within the Public Affairs Office. I am also the official press officer responsible to deal with national and international media and acts as the JFC Naples spokesperson when required. The Joint Force Command Naples is a Joint Headquarters, operating at the Operational Level, capable of executing effective command and control over assigned forces in order to achieve Operational effects in an assigned Joint Operating Area. As a Joint Force Command, the relationships with other NATO Command Structure and NATO Force Structure Component Command Headquarters will change between baseline activities, crisis and conflict. It also provides Joint competencies to assigned NATO Force Structure headquarters tasked to deploy as Joint Task Force Headquarters. The Communication Division is one of the pillar directorates of JFC Naples command and directs, co-ordinates, and synchronizes the overall communication effort in support of JFCNP mission, operations, and activities. The Public Affairs Office, of which I am part, provides advice on strategy and public implications of decisions and activities, which affect the responsibilities, functions, operations and activities of the JFC HQ. During my career, I have served for more than 28 years in the Communication Division. Previously, I served in the Intelligence Division. My knowledge and skills include: The theory and practice of journalism. Working in a team, directing a team, and working independently. Developing and implementing organizational objectives. Deciding on the allocation of resources, thus setting organizational priorities within specific work context.
