      My journey in the tech education sector has led me to challenge the way talent is developed within the tech sector. Why invest 3-4 years of your time in education, when technology is evolving at an unprecedented pace? Why spend $20k, when you could be earning $50k in 3-6 months? Why wait for someone to take action, when we have amazingly motivated tech business leaders who want to enable talent who are passionate delivering both individual and business outcomes? That's why @Alan Kan and I got together to create NZ's first tech skills accelerator with a social mission, designed to launch tech talent and careers in 14 weeks. We set out to bridge the growing skills shortage, by challenging the way the next tech talent enters the workforce. That’s why we created this model in collaboration with industry employers and leaders. We have also created an Aspire Grant, for those who would otherwise not be able to afford the programme due to financial hardships or job losses (and redundancies). In 14 weeks versus 3-4 years (in traditional education), candidates will gain skills, real experience and recommendations from employers to get them started in the tech workforce ready to hit the ground running. We are launching our first impact programme in November 2018.
