Remote Transitioning out of the physician practice side of healthcare, my primary responsibility will be to ensure that MSN's MIPit and QCDR clients are able to achieve their full potential of Medicare reimbursement from CMS's merit-based incentive payment system (MIPS). MSN has a stellar MIPS team of senior leaders and client managers who are fully dedicated to their customers. Since CMS makes changes to the MIPS program annually, I will work with these professionals to provide guidance and education to our clients with the goals of improving reporting processes and optimizing reimbursement. Additionally, I will collaborate with MSN's coding leaders to implement/edit workflow processes for new and modified measures. Radiology is a medical specialty where MIPS quality measures are removed or "topped out", year after year. As it becomes more difficult for radiology practices to appreciate incentive adjustments to their Medicare reimbursement, it is vital that new quality measures are added. I am excited to work alongside other MSN professionals, practice leaders and radiologists to create new quality measures to submit to CMS. Show less

Quality initiatives I tracked and implemented revolved around the National Quality Strategy domains which dictate patient-centered care that is efficient, safe and effective in prevention and treatment of disease, and cost-conscious. As the director of risk management, I assessed risk control methods in the MCRG office and in the healthcare facilities served. My main objective in this role was to reduce & eliminate harm to patients and workers by integrating medical precautions and promoting safety standards in our practice. Additionally, I provided transformational leadership to MCRG's support team specialists and registered radiologist assistants (RRAs). The support team communicates critical findings and results to the appropriate medical professionals to ensure that an optimal response is provided to a patient's care. The RRAs are mid-level providers who, under the guidance of a physician, provide detailed patient assessments and perform specific procedures. Both teams provide exceptional service and are essential to MCRG's success. Show less
