  The Education for Sustainable Living Program is a completely student-run endeavor empowering student educators to become agents in their own learning by designing classes on various facets of sustainability and justice through interdisciplinary, horizontal learning structures.  As an organization co-chair, I led a group of six "sphere" members designing and implementing a 10-week lecture series, hosting inspiring and engaging industry leaders in sustainability, social justice and holistic living. The series educated over 200 students each week as well as members of the public.  In addition, I helped secure funding through grants and manage a budget of over $32,000 to produce a lecture series, undergraduate education program, Spring class and experiential action research teams.  We also invested in student development and agency by funding opportunities for undergraduate members to present our unique organizational structure and design at conferences around the state and engage in alternative learning methods.

   Developed a brochure to promote protected trails by coordinating volunteers to hike more than a dozen different trails, creating detailed trail evaluation forms to maintain objectivity, and ensuring accuracy with the design contractor  Implemented a bounce-back program to expand the influence of the Youth in Nature school program promoting outdoor engagement and protection. Created and illustrated a field notebook, logo’d items, and standards-appropriate assignment  Updated and streamlined easement mapping system to ensure accuracy & accessibility

  This campus-wide outreach project increased educational equity for underrepresented student success at University of California, Santa Cruz. This program was designed to ease the transition for first-generation and otherwise marginalized groups into a four-year UC University by providing resources, mentorship, and answering questions from enrollment to student life and how to succeed on a personal level.  Bridged institutional knowledge gaps by providing incoming students with the resources to navigate enrollment, registration, and admissions deadlines
