Diogo Frasquilho Guerreiro
Diana's work, both in research and in clinical practice, are guided by excellence and by continuous effort to achieve the best results. In terms of clinical practice, she as outstanding skills, both in empathy with the clients, but also from a technical point of view. Her Cognitive behavioural approach has shown great results; I have witnessed several successful cases, which we followed in collaborative work. Her current PhD research is also of paramount relevance, and I'm sure that will lead to important results in the field of Mental Health. I would highly recommend Diana in any of this areas.

The Internship occurred under the supervision of Professor Margaret Barry, MA, PhD, ApsSI (Professor of Health Promotion and Public Health, Head of Department and Director of the Health Promotion Research Centre at National University of Ireland, Galway – Doctor in Psychology) and Dr. Saoirse Nic Gabhainn BA, MA, PhD, C.Psychol, AFBPsS (Senior Lecturer in Health Promotion and Deputy Director of the Health Promotion Research Centre) and in collaboration with Dr. Telmo Mourinho Baptista ( Lecturer in the Psychology Faculty at Lisbon’s University, Portugal; President of the Portuguese Association for Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies and President of the Portuguese Psychology Society). The major benefits of this internship: • became familiarized with new projects and work processes, mental health programmes with evidence of effectiveness and cost-effectiveness in Psychology and Mental Health Promotion in Europe, • gained important research skills and knowledge in the area of health and mental health promotion • trained research skills to explore the patterns of health-related behaviour, attitudes, beliefs and knowledge among members of the public and sub-groups within the population Overall, it was instrumental in helping me make the step into the Ph.D. program in Mental Health at Universidade Nova, Lisbon, Portugal Show less
