Roles and responsibilities: • Working collaboratively with Mentor Teacher to develop sequential Forward Planning Documents in English, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Digital Technology that supports Year 5 and 6 for six weeks • Assist and support Mentor Teacher in delivering learning programs • Running a spelling program using Words Their Way • Asses students’ understanding with a variety of diagnostic, formative and summative assessment strategies • Differentiating learning programs by providing an extension and adjustments according to students’ individual needs • Taking over up to 90% of Mentor Teacher’s teaching load by week 3 onwards • Assist and support Mentor Teacher in marking assessments and interpret data for reporting and modifying for planning and teaching purposes • Assist in reporting on students’ achievements • Design and implement an effective teaching and assessment for HASS • Design a marking and recording system for HASS
