I had the privilege to be a shadow worker for Senior Quantity Surveyor, Stefan Aldrich at Tri-Star Construction. I attended site meetings and I learned how the different professionals had to work together to deliver a successful end product. -I learned about cost reports and how crucial these reports are together with the JBCC contract. -I also practiced measuring on PlanSwift and Candy/Buildsmart. During the school holidays, I was a site manager trainee at Banbric Construction. Included in the training was the following basic principles: -Site housekeeping & management. -Electrical first fix. -Painting a building. -Stock control. I also helped & worked alongside all the labour workers to see and do what they do to form better relationships and to understand them better.
