Pirangut, Pune. (Leading industry in the manufacturing of precision automotive components like rocker arms, engine valve collets, fluid power components, fuel system and turbocharger components) Project Category: Product/Process design and optimization of machining of alloy steel rods. Description: The project was basically oriented to manufacturing ,machine design and industrial engineering. For chamfering of alloy steel rods, we developed the new process by examing previously used process by the company in terms of its motion analysis and determining machining time.( by doing method and time study) Considering the design factors, safety factors, material handling issues and ergonomics, the CAD model and a brief design process report is presented.
