I am the component owner of the runtime vulnerability assessment piece of Secure App's RASP solution. Besides the vulnerability assessment module, I a part of most of our architecture decisions to scale and fortify our backend. Some of accomplishments here include: - Moving from a static vulnerability feed to a dynamic and real time vulnerability intelligence pipeline to power realtime vulnerability assessment of our customers' assets. - Extending the runtime vulnerability assessment piece beyond App Dyanmics's Java agent to include Dotnet Core and NodeJs agent. - Designing, building, and deploying a task scheduler service that allows users to create either periodic or event driven tasks and takes care of sharding them across multiple replicas of a service. This allows services for an easy way to build horizontal scaling. - Refactoring two of our services to use the task scheduler infrastructure to move away from the bottlenecked and cost intensive vertical scaling to a horizontal scaling model instead thus taking advantage of cloud scale. - Building a common library around confluent's kafka implementation with baked in observability, error handling, and easy to use common configurations in our system. Not only did this take away the need for everyone to be a Kafka expert but with the centralized infrastructure, code re-usability and testing were a lot better. - Organized and led SecureApp's first hackathon around refactoring our unit tests for increased speed and coverage. In a day's worth of effort, by focusing on a fundamental gap that I had identified and with a motivated team we came out with 4% extra coverage and the total unit tests taking 50% less time than they used to take! Skills: Go, SQL, Bash, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Helm, Gitlab, Helm, CI/CD, AWS, git Show less

- Re-architected the switch driver for the next generation of firewalls in Cisco’s security portfolio for enhanced speed, maintainability, and extensibility. Organized TOIs for 30 engineers that are currently utilizing this architecture to develop other system critical features.- Improved the watchdog signal delivery mechanism to reduce the signal delivery latency by 10 times under high load conditions, thus helping avoid system outages.- Mentored 2 software engineering interns for a period of 3 months, helped them ramp up on the product, code base, development tools and process. Provided structure and guidance for their project to successful completion. Received positive feedback on my mentorship. Show less
