ABU Robocon 2023's competition theme is to use an Elephant Robot and Rabbit Robot to scatter flowers over Angkor Wat. Instead of flowers, the actual Competition uses Rings, made of rubber hoses. We build two robots for this theme, ER (Elephant Robot) & RR (Rabbit Robot).Function of Elephant Robot ER: It consists of a Ring Throwing Mechanism that throws rings at the poles; a Ring Picking and Loading Mechanisms that collects the ring stack from ring zones and loads it in the ring throwing mechanism. ER cannot enter the angkor area or angkor center are but can perform tasks from Red area/ Blue area.Function of Rabbit Robot RR: It consists of a Ring Throwing Mechanism that throws rings at the poles; a Ring Picking and Loading Mechanisms that collects the ring stack from ring zones and loads it in the ring throwing mechanism.RR can enter angkor area and angkor center area with the help of a slope only and perform task.As Technical Team Member, I developed a skill in CAD design and Manufacturing. I specifically designed and manufactured a Ring Throwing Mechanism of both robots. I had also designed and tested various 4 bar mechanisms. Team Robocon LDCE achieved a perfect score of 100/100 in Round 1 of documentation which involves CAD Submission and Calculations to justify a proposed Mechanism in CAD.Team Robocon LDCE also earned the Best Design Award this year out of 43 teams from every corner of India at DD Robocon 2023, Delhi.
