  My responsibilities are:Planning and conducting of line development of breeding crosses (B×B, & R×R ) and test crosses (A×R).Knowledge of varies yield trials such as IHT, AHT, MLT, Demo and Strip trials.Trial planning, seed packeting & layout preparation sending the seed for Multi-location trials. Applying timely agronomic practices, layout and systematic arrangement of field for excellent crop growth and timely data recording in all the trials.Planning and conducting of small scale Hybrid Seed Production (HSP) of IHT and AHT, following proper agronomic practices like staggered planting, isolation barrier erection and nicking for good hybrid seeds in return.Maintenance breeding program- Handling breeder seed production of A/B/R separately and ensure 100% genetic purity and work with supply team for a timely and adequate parent seed turnover.Grow and evaluate GOT of Varieties, hybrids and parental lines of hybrids. DUS characterization of variety, hybrids and parental lines of hybrids.Monitoring foundation seed of running hybrids and varieties.Managing multi-location yield trials in UP, Bihar, MP, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.Ensure proper maintenance of company assets and monitoring of expanses.   RU Programme (MMAI) Paddy Breeding Team: Management and implement nursery and yield trial, sterilization of G-lines, breeding crossing, genetic studies (bloom study and germplasm), maintainer line development, restorer line development and assist other Paddy breeding program team(TGMS, LM, JV, MS) and coordinate Product Development program for market segment in India. Grow and evaluate RU observational nursery (TC1, TC2, Codes) and breeding nursery RGA F3, F4 (G-line, M-line) received from RGA team and collect observation field data and do the selection and harvest the selected lines. Planning and conducting new breeding cross on desirable traits (CPR & CPG), handling sterilization program of G-line and CMS conversion of G-line (BC0-BC6). Assist RU team in leaf sampling activities for BLB, BPH, and Blast project of paddy. Handling agronomy of various yield trials like TC1, TC2, R1, R2R3, TGMS, Strip, Demo and PAT of RU_APNI team in kharif season. Applying timely agronomic practices, layout and systemic arrangement of field for excellent crop growth and timely in all the trials and analysis of trial. Ensure 100% implementation of core values especially PPE and contractor value at farm. Strengthen safety culture through visible and active member. Comply with Corteva core values implement PPE for all workers at station. Supports paddy breeding program by working with Research Officer in developing parental lines with good seed production traits. Monitoring MMAI_TC1 to R2R3 hybrid seed production at Raipur station and ensure healthy crop, following proper agronomic practices like staggered planting, barrier erection, nicking and use of GA3 and trained contractual staff on HSP in return. Harvest F1 seed properly, thresh and packet the seeds of hybrids and make need- based packeting and prepare for multi-location rainy sowing. Show less
