ROLE: Aim of the project was to develop a suitable formulation of potential bioagent for management of important disease of Sunflower, Safflower and castor. Objectives were 1) Isolation and identification of Rhizosphere and phyllosphere fungi bacteria and yeast from oil seed crop 2) Screening of isolates for the antagonistic activity against the pathogen. 3) Characterization of active principle responsible for antagonism. 4) Study the rhizosphere and phylloplane competence of potential bioagents. 5) Assay for fungal and bacterial antagonists mediated induced systemic resistance and plant growth promotion in crop plants 6) Development of formulations of potential bioagent and their consortia suitable for soil and phylloplane environment and their field evaluation.
