Each year the March of Dimes selects a special child and his or her family to travel the country and share their personal story to inspire support for March of Dimes mission to improve the health of all babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. In 2014, my son Aidan was selected as the National Ambassador! As the National Ambassador family, Aidan, Jill and I traveled across the United States visiting public officials and corporate sponsors, and encouraging people to participate in the March of Dimes’ largest fundraiser, March for Babies. The money raised supports community programs that help moms have healthy, full term pregnancies, and funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten babies’ lives. Show less
