Interned at the James J. Howard Marine Sciences Laboratory in Sandy Hook, NJ, under the mentorship of Dr. Chris Chambers and the Life History & Recruitment Team. Funded by the NOAA Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship. Led an independent experiment assessing the Maternal and Seasonal Influence on Atlantic Silverside (AS) Offspring.Collected measurements from 1,072 larval AS larval photos using ImageJ. Conducted extensive data analysis in Excel. Conducted thorough statistical analysis and created informative graphs of results in R Studio. Presented virtually to staff and fellow interns of the lab. Deep Sea Ecology Research Cruise

Worked under Dr. Shawn Arellano from Western Washington University in conjunction with Oregon Institute of Marine Biology and North Carolina State University aboard the RV Atlantis research vessel owned by WHOI. Spent 10 days at sea working as a student researcher. Utilized the submersible Alvin to collect deep sea organisms and deployed scientific instrumentation to answer questions about deep sea larval dispersal. Conducted an independent settlement experiment with Bathymodiolius childressi mussel larvae. Show less

Worked in the freshwater fish section of the fish store. Conducted water tests on all tanks, ensured health of fish according to nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, pH, and kH levels as well as being in charge of feeding. Regulated algal blooms in closed systems.
