Shutdown Reactor Operator: Senior supervisory watch in charge of all operational aspects of the nuclear reactor, as well as enforcement of reactor safety guidelines and direction of all other on watch personnel, according to remote reactor status alarm instrumentation and control panel indications.Maintenance Technician: Perform frequent testing, troubleshooting, preventative and corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs of vital power plant machinery, generators, water pumps, electrical equipment, and general spaces.Feed Control Watch: Monitor and regulate flow and chemistry of water in various nuclear reactor plant systems. Propulsion Electrician: Perform operations of bus transfer equipment, parallels between turbine generators,motor generators, diesel generators, and land based generators. Provide safe continuity of power to ship’s power distribution grid by maintaining vigilant tours of electrical equipment spaces, and continuously monitoring status meters and alarm indications for electric and reactor plant systems. Often the first electrician on scene in the event of electrical casualties to perform imperative immediate actions necessary to minimize effects upon power distribution grid, and begin troubleshooting.
