To the reader of this message, I have worked with Mr. Devon Fountain in my time in the US Army as his commander in charge at the 1st Battalion 36th Infantry Regiment, in Fort Bliss, Texas for a period of 2 years. Mr. Fountain is a diligent hard worker who uses his time efficiently to accommodate the needs of the tasks assigned to him. As a leader, Devon shows exceptional coaching and mentoring skills that helped the communications team members to grow and becoming an integral part of the readiness of our unit. His care to his team members was inspiring, seeing him always ensure his team members were taken care of before himself is a commendable trait that this young leader brought and was admired for by myself and other Senior Leaders. As an individual performer, Devon was always regarded to me as my most dependable Soldier, an adaptive and effective leader and an asset to the Communications Section and for the Headquarters Company where I had the pleasure to serve alongside him. I truly believe that Mr. Devon Fountain will be a valuable asset to any organization that he becomes a team member. I am confident that the skills, experience, and leadership that Devon will bring to any organization that he joins will prove of value, that will help teams and sections to reach their organizational goals and perform beyond expectations as he did with his team in our unit. I had the pleasure of working alongside Devon Fountain before my Military Retirement. I served as senior enlisted advisor in logistics to a military element of over 600 employees. Devon Fountain was always available, knowledgeable, and ready to undertake any challenge to ensure communication functionality. In a non-traditional logistical flow that relies heavily on communication for speed of support, communications can be detrimental if not maintained. Luckily, I never had such a detriment all thanks to the professionalism and expertise of Devon Fountain. I personally can attest he is intelligent, motivated, and adapts quickly to meet his objectives. A true asset to any institution that he choices to work for.
