As a dedicated Peer Health Advisor at the USC Dornsife Pre-Health Office, I provided holistic support and insightful feedback to fellow students as they embarked on their pre-health journeys. Our mission is to empower you to be proactive and reflective in your career decision-making, ensuring you make informed choices for a successful future in healthcare. Additionally, I am honored to have been selected to join the USC Dornsife Pre-Health Student Advisory Board (SAB), where I contribute my experiences and perspectives to this crucial committee. This role allows me to develop my leadership skills further and make a lasting impact within our office. Throughout the academic year, the SAB meets regularly to discuss pertinent topics and collaboratively work on strategic projects to enhance our student-centered programs. Show less

Tasks associated with a new study (eMOTION Study) in the Real-Time Eating Activity & Children’s Health (REACH) lab under the supervision of REACH lab faculty and staff. This behavioral intervention study will target adults (ages 18-65) who are either overweight or obese and currently engage in less than 60 minutes of structured physical activity in a week. The study aims to look at how affect (mood) can be incorporated into physical activity recommendations. It will test whether modifying affective mechanisms can be experimentally manipulated in real-world settings using a smartwatch and mobile phones. This can be impactful because it fulfills a need for looking at how an individual’s mood or feelings can factor into a new health behavior intervention, like increasing physical activity. Show less
